Scott Johnson is a Worship Consultant with a voice to change the way we experience ministry. And it’s a voice that carries – from preaching and teaching to leading worship, making music and designing in the creative digital arts. He earned a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Scott has been a loyal servant in ministry since 2000, and was fully ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2009.
As a church elder, however, Scott and his ordainment extends beyond just the spiritual realm into the physical fitness, relationship and life goal arenas. Scott has led churches ranging from 50 to 2,400 members. Through his leadership he has helped increased attendance, stewardship, and programming. He has envisioned and created new worship environments in each appointment. He is well known for his tenacity and talents in contemporary worship, leadership development and discipleship. Scott considers it a success when one of his teams achieve their goals.
Scott currently serves the United Methodist Church of South Carolina from the role of Conference Evangelist. This appointment allows Scott to encourage and equip the Church from both his personal ministry effort called “The Corban Collective” as well as joining forces with Training Churches.
He is married to Amanda, and they have two children, Wyatt and Emory. As a family, the Johnsons are truly happy on the family farm and getting away on vacation. In his down time, Scott enjoys competing with his teammates in Adventure Racing across the Southeastern states.
